Web version
1.16.2
- Comprehensive "my place" and "photo on the map" features, including importing a photo from a file or from the mobile device's photo album
- Routing in Europe for many new countries; now supported are the Nordics, Estonia, Spain, Portugal, Italy and, newly, France, Germany, Switzerland, Austria, the Netherlands, Belgium, Croatia & Cyprus.
1.15.16
- More versatile and faster route editing with the "cut a section", "extend the route from the start" and "change the routing profile for a route segment" features
- Squadrats KML support
- Route planning warnings are now always shown directly on the route line with a yellow and red outline

- Google Street View feature
1.12.20

1.10.1
- 3D map, new sharing feature and "photos on the map" released to the production version (previously beta)
- Demo of the "My Places" feature (beta)
1.9.0 (beta)
- Demo of the "Photos on the map" feature
1.8.0 (beta)
- 3D map (for Plus package subscribers)
1.7.5 (beta)
- A renewed way to share a route or a track: note that this requires the new mobile app version 1.1.9
1.6.7
- "Convert a track into a route" feature. The track can be a GPX file, a Strava activity or your own recorded track. The conversion turns it into an editable route.

- Places, i.e. POI categories, more extensively than before, using both the LIPAS and OSM data sets
- Super-MML vector map updated to the same level as the Trailmap map style
1.4.4
- Depth areas, contours and points on the vector maps, switched on from the map settings. Data from Syke & the Finnish Transport and Communications Agency. Not for navigational use on the water. Does not meet the requirements of a proper nautical chart.
- Clearer background map on the route cards
1.3.0
- Change to a freemium model, new Trailmap tiers: KARTTA, NAVI, PLUS. More information here.
- Property boundaries as their own setting at the top level of the map settings
1.1.2
Mobile app
1.11.9
- "Offline first" model: the user's data is always fetched from the device's memory first and only updated from the network: faster, more robust and reliable even when there is no network connection
- Several usability improvements to centring and handling the map when positioning is on
1.10.6
- More versatile and faster route editing with the "cut a section", "extend the route from the start" and "change the routing profile for a route segment" features
- Squadrats KML support
- Route planning warnings are now always shown directly on the route line with a yellow and red outline
- Context menu on the map (right mouse button or a long press on a touchscreen): OSM information, coordinates, "route to here" and add "my place"
1.9.12
- Collections and route filter features for organising the route library
1.7.14
- Europe-wide map on the Trailmap default map, plus local topographic maps for the Nordics, Estonia and Spain - routing in selected countries
- A new version of the map style that produces a clearer map both in Finland and especially in the more densely populated countries of Europe
1.6.13
- A major update of the software libraries (including the map engine, ride recording, positioning, power saving) and of the functionality
- Route planning and the basic features of the route library, conversion of a track (GPX) into an editable route
- Basic functionality for "My places" and "photos on the map"
1.1.9
- Support for the renewed sharing of routes and tracks in the web version (1.7.5)
1.1.3
- Map settings made easier to use: the dialog is at the bottom of the screen so that you see changes on the map immediately
1.1.2
- Support for the "Convert a track into a route" feature, so that these routes can also be shown on the route library page and opened on the map
1.1.1
- Places, i.e. POI categories, more extensively than before, using both the LIPAS and OSM data sets, the same feature as on the web. In addition, a popup info by touching a POI.
- GPX and KML tracks loaded onto the map now also persist even if the app is closed / closes in between
1.0.8
- Depth sounding data: the same feature as in web version 1.4.4 (see above)
- Offline map downloads also for the MMLv2 vector map
- Rotating the map by touch, a setting (default "off")
1.0.7
- Bug fix: the Android "route" popup that you get by pressing with your finger on a route selected from the "routes" menu (map settings) (with OSM or LIPAS as the source)
1.0.5
- Change to a freemium model, new Trailmap tiers: KARTTA, NAVI, PLUS. More information here.
- Downloading offline maps has been simplified: you no longer need to define zoom levels, it's enough to define the quality level you want. In practice "good" is an excellent choice.
- Property boundaries as their own setting at the top level of the map settings
- Digiroad "private roads with a road association" added to the overlays, which is good especially for gravel, because it comes with the information that a road is subject to a right of way where it passes through yards
- You can get the track next to the actual route (from the user settings), so that the trail & road classification shows "underneath" (there was already some talk about this on FB)
- You can turn off the direction arrow on the location dot, which on some Android devices in particular may spin around - the accuracy of the direction arrow otherwise depends on the compass calibration, so that "move" is worth learning if you don't have it down already
- Routes and tracks loaded onto the map (not GPX / KML files yet, though) now stay open even if the app closes / is closed in between - restarting brings them back on screen, with a small delay however, because they first have to be loaded into memory
